Day 2

I am getting into this blog thing way too much. Apparently I have only had one person read my first blog (Thank you, Lacy) but she didn't subscribe. Please subscribe!

I was thinking today that there are always things to do that we don't want to do but once we do them, we're like, "yeah, that's out of the way". I finally got my daughter's package mailed to North Carolina and it was such a relief.

It is so hard to go back to work after being off 2 days and it was difficult. So many personalities to deal with! I am going to be so busy in the days ahead.

And, I had a disturbing call from my brother concerning my Mother. She is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease and it is hard to take. They were having an argument in the doctor's office about her not taking her meds. Then she doesn't want to pay $80 for a prescription that could help her but she doesn't realize how bad she had gotten. I need to call her.

Life is harder as you go. You lose loved ones and see them detioriate. I am sad that Wade is gone. Cherish each day ... it's a gift.

Day 1: My First Blog

This is Day 1 of my very first blog! I am so excited to be able to share with you what I have learned in this life.

That is what is so messed up about life .... you usually have to learn things the hard way. Then you may never have to address that particular thing again! So, if I can share my experiences with you then it may help you avoid some of the mistakes I have made.

I have always clipped and used coupons but now that my nest is empty, I have more time to devote to it. I have really "kicked it up a notch" and it is so much fun. The Internet has really changed couponing for the better. I will share my favorite sites with you in a subsequent blog.

I enjoy exercise and I encourage each of you to make exercise part of your daily life. Studies have show that it is as effective to do cardio in 15 minute intervals rather than 45 minutes at a time, so if that helps you meet your goals, go for it! It is imperative that you build muscle to burn calories more efficiently and look good. I would encourage you to purchase the book "The Eat Clean Diet Workout" by Tosca Reno. It is an excellent resource. However, don't pay full price for it! I buy 99% of my books on amazon. com for a fraction of the cost. Another great book is "The Eat-Clean Diet" by Tosca. Eating clean is essential to meet your fitness goals. That is my resolution this year .... to eat clean and drink less alcohol.

That's all for the day. I have to go workout!
